SensAI

Structural engineering connects with artificial intelligence.

SensAI was born inside Sens, from a simple conviction: an engineer's time is worth more when it's spent designing, not filling in paperwork.

Artificial intelligence can absorb the repetitive side of the craft — documents, procedures, routine modelling — and give back to the designer the one thing no machine can provide: judgement.

Today the frontier is AI. Tomorrow it will be something else. SensAI is how this studio stays where things change.

What we do today

Today SensAI is applied research and writing: we study how generative AI enters the structural workflow — from calculation to building procedures — we use it in our own practice, and we share what we learn.

Where we're going

Tools — AI assistants for technical professionals: the first, in development, guides the qualification of Italian building procedures — which permit applies, and why — with the source cited next to every answer. Then: agents that work alongside the designer inside analysis and modelling software.

Training — courses to bring professionals closer to AI applied to structural work, with method and critical thinking.

Standards — a quality protocol for AI in the technical process: declaring where AI intervened, on which sources, and how it was verified. AI doesn't sign: the engineer does.

What we believe

SensAI is just beginning — and we're documenting it as we build.
